COURSE OVERVIEW
A properly managed and implemented configuration management process provides valuable information about the delivery and quality of IT services, forming a critical component of IT service management (ITSM). Yet, many organizations struggle with the complexity involved in establishing and maintaining this critical IT service management capability.
This two-day certification course goes beyond establishing a service component repository (SCR) and takes a deep dive into the design, deployment, and management required for a sustainable configuration management process. Based on our consultants’ decades of real-world experience helping IT organizations, this practical course will help you identify critical success factors related to reaching your IT service management and organizational goals and establish approaches to overcome design, deployment, and ongoing process management issues.

PREREQUISITES
There is no prerequisite for this course, although it is strongly recommended that participants understand basic IT service management concepts.
EXAM & CERTIFICATION
This course prepares participants for the examination leading to the Configuration Management Specialist certificate, granted by Professional Designations:
- The exam is 60 minutes in length and is a 40-question, multiple-choice, closed-book exam
- A mark of 65% (26 correct answers) is required to pass the exam
- You will receive an exam voucher for the web-based exam, to be scheduled following the course.
- Upon completion of this course, you may apply for self-directed learning PDUs through PMI. A letter of attendance is available upon request.
